We hosted our 4th Accommodating Diversity in the Workplace Conference at the University of Reading, UK on Monday 8th June 2026. This conference followed on from our successful 1st Accommodating Diversity in the Workplace,<\/a>\u00a0\u00a02nd Accommodating Diversity in the Workplace <\/a> and 3rd Accommodating Diversity\u00a0 in the Workplace<\/a> conferences.<\/a> Thank you to everyone who participated and especially to our speakers. This interdisciplinary conference was aimed at academics, practitioners, employers and anyone interested in issues of diversity and inclusion in the workplace and their implications for workplace practice.. Patrizia Kokot-Blamey<\/strong> (Queen Mary University of London) kicked off the conference with her presentation: Imagining working parenthood: young people\u2019s moral economies of when to return to work after having a baby,\u00a0 <\/strong>This followed on from her presentation in our 2025\/2026 webinar series<\/a> on Gender, career aspirations and plans for family formation among UK HE students.<\/p>\n
