If you just need to run one application on NX and not the whole desktop, then you can use the custom connection. This can be useful if you are having problems with the desktop.<\/p>\n

  1. Connect to nx-server via nomachine client.<\/li>\n
  2. Choose <New virtual desktop or custom session>.<\/li>\n
  3. Choose \u201cCreate a new custom session\u201d.<\/li>\n
  4. Use mate-terminal in the \u201cRun the following command\u201d (Options: \u201cRun the command in a floating window\u201d).<\/li>\n
