{"id":594,"date":"2025-09-05T10:09:04","date_gmt":"2025-09-05T09:09:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/research.reading.ac.uk\/agrifood-futures\/?p=594"},"modified":"2025-09-09T10:15:35","modified_gmt":"2025-09-09T09:15:35","slug":"uk-research-quality-to-be-evaluated-by-reading-experts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/research.reading.ac.uk\/agrifood-futures\/uk-research-quality-to-be-evaluated-by-reading-experts\/","title":{"rendered":"UK research quality to be evaluated by Reading experts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Eleven University of Reading academics have been selected to serve on expert panels for\u00a0REF2029.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The Research Excellence Framework<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0(REF)<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0is the UK&#8217;s system for evaluating research quality across higher education institutions, with its findings\u00a0determining\u00a0the distribution of approximately \u00a32 billion in annual public research funding.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Following\u00a0previous\u00a0assessments in 2014 and 2021, panel members have now been chosen for the 34 specialist sub-panels that will conduct the research evaluation for REF 2029.
