Neustadt Book Prize<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-703\" src=\"https:\/\/research.reading.ac.uk\/american-history-politics\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/62\/Unorganized\/54759f0feea57_richard_neustadt.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"240\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Supported by the University of Cambridge Mellon Fund<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Worth \u00a3400<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The Richard E. Neustadt Book Prize is well established as the top prize in the UK devoted to publications on US politics, awarded by the APG to the best book in the field of US government and politics (including political history and foreign policy). In recognition of the valuable contribution made over the years to APG\u2019s work by our colleagues in other European countries, eligibility is this year being extended to include authors based at any university in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Works nominated for the 2019 Richard E. Neustadt Book Prize must be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>in the field of US government and politics (including political history and foreign policy)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>published in the calendar year 2018<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>published in the English language<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>authored by an academic employed at a university in a European country<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>entered for consideration by the closing date, 30 June 2019<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The 2019 Prize will be awarded by the panel of judges to the book that they consider to be the best from those nominated. The \u00a3400 Prize for 2019 is generously supported by the University of Cambridge Mellon Fund.
