A crowdfunder raised more than \u00a3140,000 in 400 days and the statue was commissioned and erected in less than a year &#8211;\u00a0 an extraordinary feat led by<strong> Alexis Bowater, Chair of the Lady Astor 100 Campaign\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ladyastorstatue100.co.uk\/\">https:\/\/www.ladyastorstatue100.co.uk\/<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The campaign was a bipartisan affair and was supported by women MPs across the political spectrum.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Nancy Astor Statue Campaign\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Unveiling the statue<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The statue was unveiled by Prime Minister Theresa May at 1.00pm on 28th November 2019.<br \/>\nToday, the statue stands on Plymouth Hoe outside Elliott Terrace, the Astor\u2019s constituency home.<\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 100%;border-collapse:
