Understanding self-stigma in autism

While knowledge of autism is improving, some people still hold negative or inaccurate views of the condition. Sometimes these views are internalised, affecting autistic people’s self-concept and wellbeing, via ‘self stigma’. This study aims to help us better understand these experiences and is open to adults with a self or clinical diagnosis of autism.
