This guide was co-produced with members of the autism community and based on research conducted at the Universities of Reading and Oxford. It contains information and simple tips to support autistic shoppers and employees, and is designed for anyone who works for supermarkets.<\/p>\n<p>During this hybrid (in-person and online) launch event, we will give an overview of the research, introduce the guide and discuss with business representatives and autistic people about the importance of making supermarkets more inclusive \u2013 and how to do it. It will include talks from:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dr Cathy Manning, Lecturer in Psychology and project lead, University of Reading<\/li>\n<li>Tara Cooke, lived experience expert and consultant on the guide<\/li>\n<li>Rebecca Oates, Retail Designer, John Lewis Partnership<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There will also be a panel Q&amp;A discussion. There is an option to attend in-person or online.
