Jodie Clarke <\/strong>will deliver a talk entitled \u201cStop the world, I want to get off\u201d: <\/em>Understanding Autistic Burnout in Children and Young People.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jodie recently delivered a talk as part of our Professional Special Interest Group and we are delighted that she is returning to take part in our monthly webinar series.<\/p>\n

About Jodie:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jodie is an Autistic and ADHD professional specialising in Autistic experience and Mental Health. Jodie is also a parent to neurodivergent children of her own.<\/p>\n

Jodie has 20 years\u2019 worth of experience working in the field of autism and in this time has achieved an Honours Degree in Psychology, a Post Grad Certificate in Autism and a Masters with Distinction in Autism. Jodie completed her MA dissertation focusing on Autistic students\u2019 experiences of mainstream education and Autistic masking.<\/p>\n

Currently, Jodie is doing her PhD researching Autistic burnout in children and young people. Jodie regularly collaborates with other experts in the field including Dr Pooky Knightsmith and Dr Luke Beardon.<\/p>\n

Jodie has authored three books in the areas of Autistic experience and Autistic burnout, all with a focus on children and young people. More details on Jodie and her work can be found at jodieclarke.co.uk<\/p>\n

The Centre for Autism Wellbeing Hub<\/strong>
\nThe Wellbeing Hub is a new initiative, funded by University of Reading Alumni. The aim of the Hub is to bring together autistic people, their families, practitioners and researchers to co-produce and deliver neurodiversity-affirming activities that support autistic young people and their families to thrive and flourish.<\/span><\/p>\n
