About Keren:<\/strong><\/p>\n

I am an autism researcher, working from a Neurodiversity paradigm perspective. My research focus is on sensory experiences and how to make spaces more sensory-inclusive for Autistic people. In my work I use mixed methods and also participatory research approaches.<\/p>\n

Talk Description:<\/strong>
\nSensory experiences are often framed as sources of challenge for Autistic people, but they can also be rich, joyful, and deeply meaningful. In this talk, Keren will talk about recent research that highlights these often complex and contextual experiences, from the power of live music to the restorative qualities of nature, and how this work informs how we can remove barriers to make spaces more sensory-inclusive.<\/p>\n

The Centre for Autism Wellbeing Hub<\/strong>
\nThe Wellbeing Hub is a new initiative, funded by University of Reading Alumni. The aim of the Hub is to bring together autistic people, their families, practitioners and researchers to co-produce and deliver neurodiversity-affirming activities that support autistic young people and their families to thrive and flourish.<\/span><\/p>\n
