Fruit trees are highly dependent on insect pollination to produce fruit, and climate change is impacting both the timing of fruit tree flowering and pollinator flight, which could reduce pollination and fruit production. We need your help to understand how fruit trees are changing flowering dates across the UK, and with your help we are gathering data on a range of fruits. Fruits including common fruits such as\u00a0Apple<\/b>,\u00a0Pear<\/b>,\u00a0Plum<\/b>, and\u00a0Cherry<\/b>\u00a0and less common fruits such as\u00a0Quince<\/b>,\u00a0Sloe<\/b>,\u00a0Apricot<\/b>, and\u00a0Peach<\/b>.<\/p>\n

I<\/span>n the three years of this project, your data has helped us understand improve our predictions of blossom dates, and show how blossom patterns shift across the country. Thanks to your help, we have shown that Conference pears, for example, flower 1.5 days later for each degree of latitude further north<\/a><\/u><\/span>.<\/p>\n
