{"id":1161,"date":"2017-06-09T08:48:09","date_gmt":"2017-06-09T08:48:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bel.reading.ac.uk\/?p=1161"},"modified":"2020-02-06T16:29:48","modified_gmt":"2020-02-06T16:29:48","slug":"kids-and-science-at-sonning-coe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/research.reading.ac.uk\/bel\/kids-and-science-at-sonning-coe\/","title":{"rendered":"Morning of Science at Sonning CoE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Friday 9th of June, we visited the Sonning CoE Primary school and showcased interactive demos to the pupils on how the electricity of our bodies work, from the brain to the activity of the muscles. Harry, Cat, Ioannis Orla were joined by Ines Serra (pharmacist) for a morning of science. We ran a session for ~100 pupils from Year 4 &#8211; 6 were students were able to see first-hand their own brain waves and then the class discussed how technology can be used to help people with disabilities.
