Evangelos Delivopoulos, part of this research\u00a0team and a new member of BEL, explained the details of the project;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><a href=\"https:\/\/research.reading.ac.uk\/bel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/155\/2013\/11\/Bladder-project-website.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-598\" src=\"https:\/\/research.reading.ac.uk\/bel\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/155\/2013\/11\/Bladder-project-website-244x300.png\" alt=\"Bladder project\" width=\"191\" height=\"264\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8221;In this project we introduced stretchable electronics in the field of\u00a0neuroprosthetics. We used silicone, a soft material, to fabricate a sensor\u00a0that interfaces with the nervous system and records signals from the bladder. This device can detect when the bladder is full and stimulate and void the bladder on demand of the user.
