Whilst, there are many advantages, and applications for microbiology, their use in bacterial antibiotic resistance is still rare. Based on this technique, we designed some routine consumables used in the microbiology laboratory which depended on the commercial supply and hugely impacted of shortage supply in terms of outbreaks. Our prototype made from 3D printing showed that it is possible to use as same as the commercial consumables in the laboratory. In addition, the staff in the laboratory is able to customize and design their own need for doing research. Furthermore, we elucidated the strong points and weaknesses of using 3D printing in our work to support for whom is the first time to do with 3D printing.

Check out the web link below to access the paper!

Methods for rapid prototyping novel labware: using CAD and desktop 3D printing in the microbiology laboratory

Using 3D technologies in healthcare is dramatically increasing since its first development.
