[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Borth has around 1,500 houses, many of which have long histories connecting the village and the sea. Some of the houses go back to the early 19th<\/sup>\u00a0century when they were built by master mariners. Many houses today are named after the ships of master mariners and the places that they visited.<\/p>\n

Probably the most famous book to come out of Borth is\u00a0Houses of Borth<\/em>\u00a0by Beryl Lewis. The volume contains more than 350 histories of individual buildings, illustrated with photographs, maps and documents.
