[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Borth\u2019s carnival runs every summer and is the highlight of the village\u2019s social calendar, drawing people into the village from miles around. The event goes back well over 100 years. The carnival celebrations culminate with the Parade on the first Friday of August when many Borth residents take the day off work to join in.<\/p>\n

For many years, up to about 2000, the carnival procession ended at the train station side of the village. Participants would gather on the steps of the Pantyfedwen building (formerly the Cambrian Hotel) before it was demolished in 1976 to make way for flats and maisonettes.<\/p>\n
