[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]In November 1965, ITV news reported that a sandstorm had driven beach sand inland at Borth, where it had piled up on the main road and in people\u2019s gardens.<\/p>\n

Today, the 2011 defence works mean that there is little sand remaining on the upper side of Borth beach. Instead, during storms, beach stones are regularly washed over sections the seawall where the beach defences are weaker.
