Celebrate 50 years and more\u00a0of\u00a0Reading Botany<\/strong><\/p>\n

As Reading Botanists are aware, 2019 is the 50th anniversary of masters’ botany teaching at the University of Reading and over 100 years of Reading Botany research and teaching more broadly.<\/p>\n

We are celebrating this milestone with a year of events under the umbrella title of Reading Botany 2019 and our main botanical alumnus event is the Reading Botany Reunion Party\u00a0<\/strong>taking place in the Meadow Suite on\u00a0the Whiteknights campus\u00a0from 13.00 on Saturday 27 July 2019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

We anticipate many alumni\u00a0plus\u00a0past and present staff will attend this special event, with guests of honour Vernon Heywood and Peter Crane already confirmed. There will also be many past and present students attending and it will be a happy botanical celebration with a BBQ, a cash bar and events such as a specially curated botany spot test to bring back happy memories!<\/p>\n

Tickets for the event are just \u00a325 per person and include a BBQ and welcome drink. Make sure you don’t miss out! \u00a0 Booking for this event is now closed if you still want to attend please email j.mitchley@reading.ac.uk.<\/strong><\/p>\n
