\"\"I am delighted to have been invited to contribute to the spring volume of Childhood in the Past. This paper considers the discipline of non-adult studies within archaeology and bioarchaeology, its development and progression, and the need for more investigations into the earliest moments of the life-course. Providing an overview of recent investigations into fetal-infant lives this paper outlines my own research trajectory and some considerations for the future – there are lots of exciting new avenues filled with research potential.<\/p>\n
