With a focus on Bengali, Hindi and English language, we are looking at whether linguistic similarities at word and sentence level between languages have an effect on language production in bi/multilingual aphasic patients and healthy bi/multilingual controls. The results will inform as to whether targeting language similarities results in greater gains or interferes with language re-learning. This could assist the development of tasks and stimulus sets for the effective assessment and treatment of bi/multilingual populations.
