The Centre for Literacy and Multilingualism (CeLM) holds an annual Research Methods Summer School which aims to provide advanced research training to researchers working in fields within the Centre’s remit, broadly defined. Through the yearly workshop, CeLM aims to help equip researchers in language, literacy, multilingualism and allied disciplines with the research methods and data science skills required to succeed in their careers. The focus of the workshop changes each year, and has in the past included both quantitative and qualitative methods, including quantitative data analysis in R, mixed-effects modelling, Bayesian data analysis, questionnaire design, and ethnography, amongst others.<\/p>\n

Following the first CeLM Summer School in 2017, and with a hiatus in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 8th CeLM Research Methods Summer School in 2025 focused on qualitative research methods. For more information about some of the Summer Schools over recent years please see the webpages below, and check back in the future for announcement of the 9th Summer School in 2026.<\/p>\n
