The 15th Forum for Germanic Language Studies biannual conference<\/a>, hosted by the University of Reading, will take place online from 06-07 January 2022. The conference is open to papers presenting original research on any linguistic aspects of (or metalinguistic perspectives on) any Germanic language or variety, including English (to the Early Modern period) and the extraterritorial varieties and from any area of linguistics ranging from formal linguistics to sociolinguistics.<\/p>\nKeynote Speaker: We are pleased that Prof Joachim Scharloth, Waseda University, Tokyo, has accepted our invitation to be the keynote speaker at FGLS 2022.<\/p>\n
