{"id":5686,"date":"2025-10-27T16:00:13","date_gmt":"2025-10-27T16:00:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/research.reading.ac.uk\/celm\/?p=5686"},"modified":"2025-10-27T16:09:19","modified_gmt":"2025-10-27T16:09:19","slug":"isbpac-2026-call-for-papers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/research.reading.ac.uk\/celm\/isbpac-2026-call-for-papers\/","title":{"rendered":"ISBPAC 2026 Call for Papers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The Centre for Literacy and Multilingualism (<a href=\"https:\/\/research.reading.ac.uk\/celm\/\">CeLM<\/a>) is delighted to announce the <a href=\"https:\/\/isbpac.info\/call-for-papers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Call for Papers<\/a> for the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/isbpac.info\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">6th International Symposium on Bilingual and L2 Processing in Adults and Children (ISBPAC 2026)<\/a>, which will take place at the University of Reading, on June 18th-19th, 2026.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The symposium welcomes submissions examining language acquisition and processing in bi-\/multilingual populations, broadly defined across the lifespan, and research examining the role that bi\/multilingualism plays in wider (neuro)cognition. Research is welcomed that examines language acquisition and processing in early and late bilinguals, L2 and Ln learners, in all domains of language (syntax, morphology, semantics, phonology, the lexicon, discourse\/pragmatics, and their interfaces) and in language-related neurocognition. The symposium welcome submissions that employ online techniques (e.g. self-paced reading or listening, eye-tracking, ERPs, neuroimaging) and offline methods.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Topics include but are not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\" style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li>Morphological, syntactic, phonetic, phonological, lexical acquisition and processing<\/li>\n<li>Crosslinguistic influence in language production and comprehension<\/li>\n<li>Language processing in attrition<\/li>\n<li>Code-switching<\/li>\n<li>L2\/Ln acquisition and processing<\/li>\n<li>Cognitive and neurocognitive consequences of bi-\/multilingualism<\/li>\n<li>Neuroscientific studies of bi-\/multilingual acquisition and processing<\/li>\n<li>Multimodal language and communication<\/li>\n<li>Developmental and acquired language disorders<\/li>\n<li>Implications of bi\/multilingual language processing for teaching<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Abstract Submission:<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/app.oxfordabstracts.com\/stages\/80107\/submitter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/app.oxfordabstracts.com\/stages\/80107\/submitter\"><strong>Now open<\/strong>!<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Abstract Submission Deadline:<\/strong>\u00a0January 19th, 2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Notification of Acceptance:<\/strong>\u00a0February, 2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Submission Guidelines:\u00a0<\/strong>The symposium accept abstracts for poster and\/or oral presentation.
