She specializes in the history of comparative children\u2019s literature and publishing. Her first monograph was a literary and publishing history of iconic French children\u2019s author, the Comtesse de S\u00e9gur (Manchester University Press, 2011), and between 2016 and 2018 she led an international research network on the impact of the &#8217;68 years on cultures of childhood, <a title=\"https:\/\/children68.hypotheses.org\/\" href=\"https:\/\/children68.hypotheses.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"1\">The Children\u2019s \u201968<\/a>, funded by the STUDIUM\/Marie Sk\u0142odowska-Curie Research Fellowship programme.\u00a0 <b><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><strong>Discussant:<\/strong> Lucy Pearson is Senior Lecturer in Children\u2019s Literature at Newcastle University, and leader of Newcastle\u2019s Children\u2019s Literature Unit. Her research focuses on children&#8217;s publishing and the development of children&#8217;s literature since the mid twentieth century.
