Her research project <em>Virginia Woolf and <\/em><em>Italian<\/em><em> Readers<\/em> studies the reception of Virginia Woolf in Italy with an interdisciplinary approach. From the first translations of Woolf\u2019s novels during Fascism up to her influence on contemporary artists and writers, this project identifies the key stages of Woolf\u2019s Italian reception in relation to the political, cultural and institutional factors that influenced publishers and translators over the years and it evaluates the processes of popularization and canonization that shaped Woolf\u2019s standing in Italy.<\/p>\n<p>Elisa Bolchi has carried on her research at the Hogarth Press archives, held at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reading.ac.uk\/merl\/collections\/merl-specialcollections.aspx\">University of Reading Special Collections<\/a>, housed at MERL, as well as in many Italian publisher\u2019s historical archives such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fondazionemondadori.it\/\">Mondadori,<\/a> Einaudi, <a href=\"https:\/\/fondazionefeltrinelli.it\/\">Feltrinelli<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fondazionecorriere.corriere.it\/\">Bompiani and Rizzoli<\/a>.
