Some of these are simple and descriptive (\u2018the climbing tree\u2019) \u2013 others can be exotic and adventurous (\u2018the South Pole\u2019). All of them are interesting but they are rarely written down and, amazingly, have never been systematically researched. This project, led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reading.ac.uk\/history\/about\/staff\/j-burchardt.aspx\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff\">Dr Jeremy Burchardt<\/span><\/a>\u00a0(P.H.
