The Chemical Analysis Facility (CAF) is a state-of-the-art instrument suite that underpins the chemical aspects of the world-class research conducted at the University of Reading.

CAF staff span a wide range of disciplines and specialities who can support you with your research.

CAF has six platforms of instrumentation; NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, electron microscopy, thermal analysis, optical spectroscopy and x-ray diffraction.

CAF has supported research in areas such as biology and physical science, archaeology, soil science, engineering, pharmaceutics, and nutrition.
