Accessing CAF
Before you access CAF, you must:
- Please email Professor Gunter Kuhnle or Dr Graham Luke to request enrolment. You will then receive a reply with instructions on how to download a health and safety presentation on your computer. Please include your University ID number and the date at which your stay at Reading will finish.
- Read through the online health and safety presentation which is available on Blackboard.
- Complete a short quiz which will test your understanding of the health and safety rules outlined in the presentation.
- After you have finished and passed the quiz, please contact us and confirm that you agree to follow these rules, including the non-disclosure agreement.
- Complete and sign a registration form. If you are a student, you must also obtain your supervisor’s signature on the form.
- Your access to CAF will then be activated on your University ID card.
Access to the following CAF laboratories is restricted:
- NMR
- Thermal Analysis
- Optical Spectroscopy
- X-ray diffraction
- Mass Spectrometry
- JJT (Microscopy and Mass Spectrometry)
