Accessing CAF
To Access CAF you must register annually. The yearly session runs from August 1st to July 31st:
University of Reading members and official collaborating/visiting staff need to:
- Complete this online registration form. If you are a student, you must obtain your supervisor’s permission to use CAF. PGRs and staff will require a charge code (obtainable from your supervisor) which needs to be entered on the on-line form.
- The registration form contains instructions on who to contact for platform specific information, it also contains a link to a H&S presentation and quiz on the hazards associated with the NMR facility, completion of which is required for access to G44 lab hosted platforms (Chemistry).
Non-UoR members need to:
- Email Professor Gunter Kuhnle or Dr Graham Luke to request registration information
Access to the following CAF laboratories is restricted:
- NMR
- Thermal Analysis
- Optical Spectroscopy
- X-ray diffraction
- Mass Spectrometry
- JJT (Microscopy and Mass Spectrometry)
