{"id":951,"date":"2023-03-09T12:34:07","date_gmt":"2023-03-09T12:34:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/research.reading.ac.uk\/chemical-analysis-facility\/?p=951"},"modified":"2023-03-15T13:21:04","modified_gmt":"2023-03-15T13:21:04","slug":"spray-drying-equipment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/research.reading.ac.uk\/chemical-analysis-facility\/spray-drying-equipment\/","title":{"rendered":"Spray drying equipment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;922&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>The spray drying facility includes state-of-the-art formulation technologies such as:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.08px;\">Novel spray drying technologies to prepare drugs to improve physicochemical properties. \u00a0The process can be particularly helpful for scaling up studies, to improve solubility, to prepare amorphous drugs and to prepare biological formulations. \u00a0We host latest state-of-the-art technology using two and three fluid nozzle systems allowing spray drying aqueous and organic based solutions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.08px;\">A range of mechanical activation equipment to do milling to prepare particles with desired particle size range.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Tableting to prepare tablets with optimum dissolution and release properties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>The spray drying facility can conduct formulation and pre-formulation studies of oral and inhaled products. We host in vitro facilities to assess flow properties and dissolution of oral and oral inhaled drugs.
