At what turned out to be a really inspiring session, I had the opportunity to talk with the students about the brain and its basic and higher cognitive functions. Perhaps more interestingly, we also had the opportunity to discuss (and debunk) popular beliefs about the brain, such as that there are &#8220;male&#8221; and &#8220;female&#8221; brains, that there are &#8220;left-brained&#8221; and &#8220;right-brained&#8221; people, and that humans only use 10% of their brain.
