{"id":1675,"date":"2021-03-18T09:22:10","date_gmt":"2021-03-18T09:22:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/christoslab.wordpress.com\/?p=1675"},"modified":"2021-12-14T13:06:40","modified_gmt":"2021-12-14T13:06:40","slug":"many-congratulations-to-michal-korenar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/research.reading.ac.uk\/christos-lab\/many-congratulations-to-michal-korenar\/","title":{"rendered":"Many congratulations to Michal Korenar!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/christoslab.files.wordpress.com\/2021\/03\/picture1.jpg?w=170\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1684\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Our own Michal has been awarded the prestigious <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/educationusa.state.gov\/scholarships\/fulbright-masaryk-award#:~:text=Award%20for%20long%2Dstays%20(3,with%20limitations%20for%20clinical%20medicine.\" target=\"_blank\">Fulbright-Masaryk award<\/a>, part of the Fulbright Scholarships program, to spend six months as a visiting scholar at Roger Beaty&#8217;s <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/cls.la.psu.edu\/research\/cognitive-neuroscience-of-creativity-laboratory\" target=\"_blank\">Cognitive Neuroscience of Creativity Laboratory<\/a> at the <a href=\"https:\/\/cls.la.psu.edu\/\">Centre for Language Science<\/a>, Penn State University, USA. During this visit he will conduct a project on creativity and the brain. Well done Michal! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And if you are interested in Michal&#8217;s work (and you speak Czech!), Michal will give an online talk as part of the Brain Awareness Week on March 21 (11.00-12.00, Central European Time)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Brain Awareness Week (15 \u2013 21 March 2021) is the largest global campaign to raise public awareness about brain research. In Czechia, Brain Awareness Week is co-organized by the Czech Academy of Sciences as a cycle of lectures on the newest brain discoveries. On this occasion, CeLM PhD student Michal Korenar has been selected as a speaker to present the advancements in the field of neuroscience of multilingualism.
