I am honoured to have received funding by the British Academy for an Academy Research Project<\/a>\u00a0which will allow us to expand <\/span>Multipic<\/a> to include naming norms in 8 under-resourced languages from four linguistic families: <\/span>Celtic <\/b>(Scottish Gaelic, Cornish), <\/span>Romance<\/b> (Lombard, Emilian), <\/span>Slavic <\/b>(Silesian, Kashubian) and <\/span>Germanic<\/b> (Scots, Alemannic). This project will run for five years, starting in April 2025. Special thanks to my collaborators Nicole Dolowy-Rybinska,\u00a0<\/a>
\nMarco Tamburelli<\/a>, Jon Andoni Du\u00f1abeitia<\/a>, Neil Kirk<\/a>, Florian Breit<\/a>, Jessica Hampton<\/a>\u00a0and Kensa Broadhurst,<\/a> who helped make this happen!<\/span><\/p>\n

This follows up from funding I recently received from the Centre for Literacy and Multilingualism<\/a> which will help norm Multipic in Romanian and Albanian. By the end of both projects, Multipic will be available in more than 50 languages- and we can always add more!<\/p>\n
