The Nencki School of Ideas in Neuroscience was a 6-day interactive workshop ran by the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology aimed \u201cat teaching how to develop theoretical thinking, how to create ideas, and put their research in a broader context.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

From July 3-8th, researchers from a variety of academic disciplines including psychology, neuroscience and philosophy from across Europe descended upon the beautiful surroundings of Jazd\u00f3w estate in Warsaw, to engage in a unique collaborative environment. The school was divided into three parts \u2013 frameworks, metatheory and thinking tools workshops, which collectively aimed to look at how ideas are developed and what factors foster their development.<\/p>\n

We were proud to sponsor one of our own, Ying Lee<\/a>, a postdoctoral research fellow at the School of Psychology and Clinical Language Sciences, to attend the week long event!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The organisers of the School were thrilled with the workshops reception by the wider community, and are already planning on holding the second iteration next year. Watch this space!<\/p>\n
