Introduction

The CRESBE is a research platform within the School of the Built Environment.  We consider Built Environment as a part of social, economic, environmental and technological systems and explore systemic impacts of decarbonisation and adaptation interventions to develop resilience heuristics at multiple scales. There are four on-going research initiatives :

Climate resilient project delivery  - new ways of managing projects and doing business in construction

Systems thinking and modelling to support decision-making about climate interventions within the built environment - place-based applications

Digital technology to navigate through uncertainty and complexity

Narratives in which resilient built environment is conceptualized, designed, and delivered
