Travel Information
\n<\/strong>Please see below for information on how to get to the Reading area. For more information on how to get to the conference venue from within Reading, please see the Conference Venue<\/a> webpage.<\/p>\n

Air Travel<\/em>
\n<\/strong>The closest airport to Reading is London Heathrow<\/a>. From Heathrow, the easiest way to get to Reading is to use the RailAir coach service<\/a> that stops at Reading train station. Alternatively arrange for a taxi transfer. London Gatwick Airport<\/a> is also close to Reading. From Gatwick, their is a direct train service<\/a> to Reading train station.<\/p>\n

Public Transport<\/em>
\n<\/strong>Reading train station<\/a> is well served by trains from various places across the UK, including direct services from Oxford and London. Reading Buses<\/a> also operate a comprehensive bus service within the local area.<\/p>\n

Accommodation
\n<\/strong>Accommodation is available both on campus at the university, and off campus within Reading town centre.<\/p>\n

On Campus<\/em>

Off Campus<\/em>
\n<\/strong>Reading town centre offers a variety of options for off campus accommodation. Some recommended options include the following.<\/p>\n

The Roseate Hotel (5*)<\/a>
\nThis luxury and historical hotel is located within the beautiful Forbury Gardens and offers a fine dining restaurant and bar. It is located 5 minutes away from Reading train station and a 10-15 minute drive to the university by car or bus. It is approximately 30-35 minute walk to Campus.

Novotel Reading Centre (4*)<\/a>
\nNovotel has an excellent central location and is convenient for the train station and local buses. It also offers a warm pool. The hotel is a 10-15 minute drive or 40 minute walk to Campus.

Premier Inn Reading Central (3*)<\/a>
\nExcellent central location, close to the Oracle Shopping Centre (5 minute walk) and also within easy reach of the train station (approximately 10 minute walk). It’s a quick bus ride to Campus (approximately 5-10 minute drive) or approximately 30 minute walk.
