Workshop on Critical Transitions in Complex Systems 2020 (online), 29th – 31st July 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n

Complex systems research has been at the forefront of scientific priorities for some time and many very interesting phenomena have been identified and explored in the context of a wide variety of applications. This workshop is part of a series, reflecting on an emerging movement to develop a mathematical theory for sudden changes in the dynamical behaviour of complex systems, so-called\u00a0critical transitions<\/em>. The prospect to develop reliable early-warning signals for such critical transitions is potentially far-reaching since these could lead to better control strategies to avoid or diminish the effect of catastrophes.<\/p>\n
