Asistente de investigaci\u00f3n del proyecto <a href=\"https:\/\/research.reading.ac.uk\/coca-cocaine-bolivia-peru\/\">Regional Applicability of Innovative coca crop control policy in the Andes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Durante los primeros d\u00edas de diciembre se publicaron los datos referidos a la superficie cultivada con coca en el Per\u00fa durante el 2018 y 2019. A continuaci\u00f3n, se desarrollan cuatro ideas centrales a partir de los datos publicados por DEVIDA (2020).<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Producci\u00f3n de hoja de coca articulada al mercado il\u00edcito <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A nivel nacional, la superficie cultivada con coca aument\u00f3 en un 24% durante el periodo 2016-2019 (Gr\u00e1fico 1). De igual forma, la producci\u00f3n de hoja de coca se increment\u00f3 en un 25%, con un total de 132,813 Tm en el 2019. La mayor cantidad de hoja de coca se destina a la elaboraci\u00f3n de drogas coca\u00ednicas; en el \u00faltimo a\u00f1o, se estima que el 93% se emple\u00f3 para estos fines (Gr\u00e1fico 2)<a href=\"#_ftn2\" name=\"_ftnref2\"><sup>[2]<\/sup><\/a>. A ello, hay que agregarle el mejoramiento en el rendimiento de la hoja de coca y el incremento del potencial de coca\u00edna identificado en las principales zonas cocaleras del pa\u00eds (DIRANDRO 2020a).
