The panel sessions explore the articulation of legal framework and its regulatory approach in light of the statutory duties conferred to the Digital Markets Unit within the Competition and Markets Authority. The workshop looks at the intersection between digital economy and enforcement mechanisms with a view to illustrate the criticisms around the market role of online platforms and Big Tech companies. It focuses on the impact of competition law in the digital space with respect to unfair commercial practices, merger control and consumer savings schemes proposals.
