CVG successfully held the latest edition of the Performance Evaluation of Tracking and Surveillance (PETS) challenge at AVSS2025 in Tainan, Taiwan, August 12th 2025.

PETS2025 continues the series of highly successful PETS workshops held for over 20 years (FG 00, CVPR ’01, ECCV ’02, ICVS ’03, ICCV ’03, ECCV’04,…, AVSS’12, WVM’13, AVSS’14, AVSS’15, CVPR’16, CVPR’17, AVSS’21). The goal of PETS has been to foster the emergence of methodology for performance evaluation of tracking and surveillance. This includes the development of performance evaluation metrics as well as a systematic evaluation of surveillance tasks (including tracking, detection, event detection, behaviour analysis) based on a common real-world dataset and application.

PETS2025 brings together cutting-edge technologies and multi-authority collaboration to tackle real-world challenges in detecting, tracking, and geolocating targets across complex maritime environments. It covers critical tasks including target detection and classification, long term tracking and target geolocation approximation.
