Data Stream Analytics track at International ECMS Conference on Modell...
Dr Frederic Stahl from the Computer Science department at the University of Reading is co-organising the Data Stream Analytics track at the 33rd International Conference on Modelling and Simulation, which is being held in Caserta, Italy on June 11th-14th, 2019.
This track’s area of interest is on the “velocity” dimension of Big Data. The analytics of high velocity data has many applications, such as large-scale simulation, health monitoring, topic detection on Twitter, transportation control, network intrusion detection, etc. Streaming data may change its characteristics over time resulting in what is known as “concept drift”. This track covers both papers on the methodology of data stream analytics but also applications enabled by data stream mining techniques.

Ms Manal Almutairi, a PhD student supervised by Dr. Frederic Stahl, has published a paper at the 17th IEEE International Conference on Machine Learning and Applicaitions. The paper is titled ” A Rule-Based Classifier with Accurate and Fast Rule Term Induction for Continuous Attributes”. The conference will be held in Orlando, USA, 17-20th of December 2018.
