\u2018Putti\u2019 are depictions of naked children in Italian renaissance art. These are two of the innocents\u2014abandoned or orphaned children\u2014from the Ospidale degli Innocenti (Foundling Hospital<\/a>) in Florence. The oval forms differ from the original pieces\u2014round tondi<\/strong>\u2014that were produced in the 1470s in blue-and-white glazed terracotta. The children on the building\u2019s fa\u00e7ade<\/strong> were made by Andrea della Robbia, whose uncle, Luca della Robbia<\/a>, had originated this glazing technique\u00a0.<\/p>\n
