The Diasporic Literary Archives Network has held several discussions with its partners about the possibilities of building maps to illustrate the careers of literary authors, their sometimes diasporic lives and their sometimes diasporic archival collections. No single project has yet emerged which completely achieves this cartographic approach for individual authors. For archival repositories, on the other hand, progress has been made recently on mapping locations and linking the mapped locations to their own Wikidata to provide descriptions of contents. This work has been conducted by the officers of ICA’s Section for Archives of Literature and Art (especially Elizabeth Bassett, Heather Dean and Sebastian Gurciullo) and an early version of the literary map can be seen here.
