Sotheby\u2019s is offering the manuscript of Samuel Beckett\u2019s novel Murphy <\/em>for sale with a guide price of \u00a3800,000 to \u00a31.2 million.\u00a0 The manuscript is contained in six notebooks decorated throughout with Beckett\u2019s doodles.\u00a0 Significant collections of the author\u2019s papers are currently held at Trinity College, Dublin, the University of Reading and The Harry Ransom Center at the University of Texas at Austin.<\/p>\n
