Dr. Karen Jones (Associate Professor of Educational Leadership and Management, University of Reading’s Institute of Education)<\/strong><\/a> and Dr. Claire Collins from Henley Business School are delighted to announce that booking is open for a conference they will be hosting at the University of Reading\u2019s London Road Campus on Wednesday 26 June 2019.<\/p>\n

The event comprises guest speaker talks interspersed with lively and engaging activities, discussions, a panel debate on the theme of \u2018Gender and Women\u2019s Empowerment \u2013 rhetoric or reality?\u2019<\/p>\n

Guest speakers include Professor Simonetta Manfredi, Oxford Brooks University who will talk about \u2018Positive Action\u2019 and Dr. Kate Carruthers Thomas, Birmingham City University who will deliver a workshop called \u2018Getting Graphic\u2019.<\/p>\n

Lunch will be provided during which there will be an art exhibition called \u2018Feministo\u2019 and a poster exhibition aimed at showcasing the diverse research and projects undertaken by staff and students at the University of Reading.<\/p>\n

The event is free for students, staff and visitors to the University of Reading, however, registration is required online<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n
