Following the election last week, we are pleased to announce that Fatima Zahra Abbou<\/strong> (second-year PhD student) and Chengcheng (Nancy) Guo<\/strong> (first-year PhD student) will serve as the PhD Student Representatives at the University of Reading’s Institute of Education this academic year. Fatima’s research examines the views and experiences of female academics in relation to career progression and holding leadership positions within Algerian universities, while Nancy\u2019s research will investigate students\u2019 motivation on their academic writing from vision perspective.<\/p>\n

We are also pleased to announce that\u00a0Meliha Sakin<\/strong> (third-year PhD student), Beverley Jenning<\/strong>s (second-year PhD student) and Emine Serap Karacan<\/strong> (first-year PhD student) will form the 2020 IoE PGR Conference Student Committee, and they will be working alongside Fatima and Nancy to ensure another highly successful PGR conference next year. The conference will be held on Wednesday 1st July 2020<\/strong>, and the conference programme will be available in June 2020.<\/p>\n
