Dr. Billy Wong<\/a>\u2019s (Associate Professor in Widening Participation, University of Reading) latest paper, \u2018A mapping of graduate attributes: What can we expect from UK university students?\u2019<\/a><\/em>, was recently published in the journal, Higher Education Research & Development<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The paper presents a national mapping of graduate attributes proposed by UK universities and examines four discourses that seem to characterise the overarching qualities UK students can expect to embody by graduation. These are: self-awareness & lifelong learning, employability & professional development, global citizenship & engagement and academic & research literacy.<\/em> These discourses are discussed in relation to the concept of the \u2018ideal graduate\u2019, building on Dr. Wong\u2019s research on the Ideal Student<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Dr. Wong\u2019s latest paper is co-authored with Dr. Tiffany Chiu<\/a> (Imperial College London, UK), Meggie Copsey-Blake<\/a> (recent MA in Education graduate, University of Reading, UK) and Dr. Myrto Nikolopoulou<\/a> (Ellinogermaniki Agogi, Greece).<\/p>\n
