In the Autumn 2022 term alone, six doctoral students have successfully graduated at the University of Reading\u2019s Institute of Education (IoE). On behalf of the IoE\u2019s\u00a0PhD programme<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0EdD programme<\/strong><\/a>, we would like to congratulate our graduates below who, no doubt, will go on to create impact in the field of education here in the UK and abroad.<\/p>\n

PhD<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dr. <\/em><\/strong>Jiayi<\/em><\/strong> Zhao<\/em><\/strong> – Mid-career academic women in higher education in China: Barriers and strategies (Supervisor:<\/strong> Dr. Karen Jones)<\/p>\n

Dr. Nora <\/em><\/strong>Abdullah Aljbreen<\/em><\/strong> – Female academic leaders and their role in quality departments at Saudi universities (Supervisors:<\/strong> Professor Carol Fullers and Dr. Maria Kambouri)<\/p>\n

Dr. <\/em><\/strong>Ilan Gabriel Dwek<\/em><\/strong> – Study on how do educational experiences and deaf identity relate to employment success? (Supervisors:<\/strong> Dr. Tim Williams and Dr. Billy Wong)<\/p>\n

Dr. <\/em><\/strong>Fatima Zahra Abbou <\/em><\/strong>– The identities and lived\/career experiences of Algerian female academics at universities: A feminist postcolonial perspective (Supervisors:<\/strong> Dr. Karen Jones and Dr. Billy Wong)<\/p>\n

Dr. <\/em><\/strong>Gemma Pawson<\/em><\/strong> – Supervision in the Early Years: A case study of ten nurseries within the private sector. (Supervisors:<\/strong> Dr. Geoff Taggart and Professor Helen Bilton)<\/p>\n

Dr.<\/em><\/strong> Johann Scheffer <\/em><\/strong>– What are the experiences and perceptions of leadership education and development for clinical leaders in the Emergency Department (ED) of an English NHS Acute Trust? (Supervisors:<\/strong> Professor Alan Floyd and Dr. Nasreen Majid)<\/p>\n

On Friday 9th December 2022, some of these graduates and those who had successfully passed their viva earlier this year<\/a> also attended the graduation ceremony.<\/strong><\/h3>\n
