The project is unique in establishing exchange between US and UK academics who share a common goal to improve the teaching of children who need to learn English to access the curriculum. Taking a multilayered approach, observations and interviews with teachers, their senior leaders and their district administrators were analysed to better understand the barriers and drivers for successful translation of training into practice.
