Location<\/h3>\n

The herbarium is located on the first floor of the\u00a0Harborne building<\/strong>, building number 31 on a University map.<\/p>\n

Please visit the University Visit us <\/strong><\/a>page for detailed instructions on how to get to the Whiteknights campus by foot, bicycle, public transport and car.<\/p>\n

Opening Times<\/h3>\n

The Herbarium is usually open to University staff and students between 9.30 and 17.00 on working day. However, visitors are asked to contact the herbarium staff in advance of their first visit.<\/p>\n

Group Bookings<\/h3>\n

Please contact us to arrange a group booking. This is essential to ensure that we do not have too many people in the herbarium at one time.<\/p>\n

School parties are particularly welcome and are charged a flat rate if a member of staff is required to support their visit. Otherwise, we request that groups pay a small donation to help us run the collection, of at least \u00a32 per head for groups. Pre-arranged groups may visit outside opening times by appointment but this will incur a further charge. Please contact us<\/a><\/strong> for more information about visiting the Herbarium.<\/p>\n

Access to the Collections<\/h3>\n

The\u00a0collection\u00a0is mainly housed on the\u00a0first floor of the\u00a0Harborne building. Specimens in the\u00a0collection and in storage are made available to students and researchers, free of charge, upon request to the\u00a0curator<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Disabled Access<\/h3>\n

There are parking bays for disabled drivers at the\u00a0side of the\u00a0Harborne building, a ramp at the main entrance to the\u00a0Harborne building and disabled toilets on the ground floor.\u00a0The first floor may be accessed through a lift. Visitors are required to book a parking permit.<\/p>\n

Parking<\/h3>\n

The University has a strict policy on\u00a0visitor parking<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0and any visitor wishing to travel by car should ensure they contact us in advance to arrange a permit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
