She is working towards a career in educational research and has a special interest in uncovering the attitudes of students in UK schools and universities.<\/p>\n<p>Her academic background has broadened over the summer where she succeeded a place on the\u00a0Undergraduate Research Opportunities Programme\u00a0and assisted Dr Billy Wong, from the UoR Institute of Education, with his project: \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=I6leTHjifUs\">An Evaluation of the Mini Police Initiative in Reading Schools<\/a>\u2019. This involved discovering the beliefs and experiences of Year 5 pupils and subsequently evaluating an initiative led by the Thames Valley Police, with the aim to improve young people\u2019s trusts and aspirations in the police. Meggie have also assisted Prof Suzanne Graham, also from the UoR Institute of Education, on the \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.creativeml.ox.ac.uk\/\">Creative Multilingualism Project<\/a>\u2019, which investigates students\u2019 beliefs about learning modern foreign languages as a result of a language crisis in UK schools.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Meggie Copsey-Blake graduated with distinction in MA in Education (2020), at the University of Reading, where she also achieved a first in BA English Language &amp; Applied Linguistics (2019).
