Want to discover the truth behind topical food controversies such as the link between meat consumption and climate change?<\/p>\n

The course which attracted learners from over 81 countries in its previous run provides useful insight into various aspects of some of the world\u2019s most popular food controversies and will equip you to make better food choices.<\/p>\n

This three week course is designed for anyone interested to know more about what they eat and how it is produced. It explores these topics through the lens of three controversial issues; alternative proteins; palm oil; and the use of probiotics an increasingly popular practice in the food industry.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

These complex issues are unpacked to provide consumers with the facts and perspectives needed to become more savvy and informed consumers.<\/p>\n

Dr Andrew Ainslie, Lead Educator has collaborated with colleagues at the European Food Information Council (EUFIC), EIT Food and the University of Turin to produce a suite of engaging resources and activities that connect with digital learners on the Future Learn platform.<\/p>\n

So if you want to improve your ability to make more informed choices about all the food you eat, to become an agent of change by better understanding these issues and have more confidence in the food system- this is the course for you!<\/p>\n
